Playa Potrero, Costa Rica
Casa Caoba is a 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home in Surfside Estates, a short walk from the beach at Playa Potrero. Built in 2021, it offers 3,300 sq ft (about 306 m²) of living space on a 540 m² lot.
The design blends modern comfort with traditional Costa Rican colonial style: clay terracotta roofs, wrought-iron details, artisan woodwork made with local materials, hand-painted tile floors, and teak ceilings. Wide terraces framed by oversized posts and beams, with deep eaves and rocking chairs, connect the indoor rooms to the garden.
Inside, a professional, fully equipped kitchen opens to the main living area. The principal suite has a king bed and its own bathroom, and two junior suites each have bunk beds and trundle beds, so the home comfortably sleeps up to 10. Outside, a pool with a waterfall and a covered pavilion sit beneath almond and mahogany trees — the caoba that gives the house its name.
From the house you can walk to the beach, seafood restaurants, and local shops. Flamingo Marina and Las Catalinas are a short drive away, and Guanacaste International Airport (LIR) is about 50 minutes. The home is already set up to run as a vacation rental.
